 DANCES IN THE SCHOOLS

The project "Dances in the schools" is addressed to teachers and students, and it's characterized by a proper educational content.

The activities are performed during all the year in the schools of every kind (above all in nursery and primary schools) with folk dance workshops organized according to the educational needs of the school, the availability of the teachers and the age of the participants. Some dances can be readjusted, but other ones are taught as required by the tradition. The targets "Il Salterio" aims are: 

• To stimulate the ability to move in free and creative way, individually and together, movement and rhythm education (for children of nursery schools).

• To communicate the typical feast character of ancient popular festivals; to give historical, cultural, geographic, style, expression information on Italian regions and foreign countries concerning the dance (for children of primary schools and older).

• To promote the socialization and the body expression (for everybody).
